I'm in the Military and booked this cruise upon my return from overseas for my 29th wedding anniversary as well as my daughters spring break from college. Upon entering our rooms the towels and linen were dirty and looked used and there was hair every were. I contacted the steward and they came in to change them and half way cleaned the room. Through out the cruise we would leave soiled towels on the floor like instructed, just to come back and find that the beds were made, which meant they came in and you could see they had walked on the towels in the bathroom but did not change them. On one particular day my daughter left her sheets on the floor because she became sick and threw up. when we returned they had made the bed with the same sheets. Reported this to the guest services and they came and changed the linen. The food in the dining facility was terrible, the only good option was the every day menu items. I told the waiters 4 times that it was our 29th Anniversary but they never came to our table, I just watched as they went to other tables to sing and celebrate birthdays. They finally came when we were getting up to leave and the place was almost empty with a dry piece of cake.  One of the main reasons for choosing this trip was to go to Half Moon, It would have been our first time but we were unable to due to weather. The steward told me that this often happens. So instead of going to Half moon on Weds, they went to Freeport on Friday. We departed the ship at 9:00 am and I asked when we had to return and was told 12:30 pm. Counting the 10 dollar round trip taxi ride, that only gave us approximately less than 3 hours to see the island. it was a waste of time and not a fitting replacement for Half Moon. We had to exit our rooms at 8:30 am once we got back to Jacksonville. I asked one of the stewards how long did they get off between cruises and he stated that they would be leaving out again after we got off another group would be coming on.  While we were preparing to leave our room, I watched the people across the hallway leave and next to my shock the steward went into the room and just made the bed with the dirty linen. I guess this explained the shape of our rooms when we arrived. They made us go upstairs and wait to depart the ship and then they cut off all of the water to include the bathrooms. We did not get off until 1040!!!! It was the worst cruise ever and that includes the last Carnival cruise I took and our rooms were flooded with water. At least the food and service was good.
