Review summary

This was our family's first cruise and it was a huge success! Our stateroom was small but very functional and our room steward, Dennis, was great at helping us keep it clean.

The dining staff and the rest of the crew was polite, helpful and always wearing a smile to greet our every need.

The only negative comment that I have is that the one and only swimming pool area (actual pool area) is designed for the adult party crowd and not really a place for kids. That left the water slides (3 big kid water slides and 2 little kid slides) as the only water activity on the ship for the kids. The only non-organized and non-water activity for smaller kids is the put-put. It made the day at sea a little long with the smaller kids.

Children's Programs

It would be nice if younger kids can be with their siblings in the children's programs. We had a 4 year old (almost 5) in our group who wanted to be with her 8 year old brother and cousins...and was heart broken that she could not be with them. She did not want to stay at kids club by herself so had to hang out with the adults....which was difficult.

Dennis was a fabulous room steward and Vito was wonderful in the dining room! They both made our cruise just a little more fabulous!

Our room was great! This was our first time to get a balcony and we loved having it! Will definitely do a balcony room from here on out!

Ship tip

We took extra hangers and were glad that we did! Of course we over-packed and needed the extra hangers to store our stuff. We discovered that, if you are cruising with kids, you really only need a swimsuit and cover-up for the day and an outfit for the night. We will pack lighter next time!

We snorkeled at Dead Man's Reef. It is off the beaten path and well worth it! No crowds, good conch at the little conch stand, rentals for all of your gear and a beautiful beach!

We enjoyed our day at The Atlantis
