Review summary

Overall, this was a decent short trip to the Bahamas.  The ship is definitely smaller and in need of an update, but it was clean and the staff was super.  They were always happy and smiling and we were impressed with their ability to remember our names.  It was our 5th wedding anniversary and decided to check out the spa for massages.  They were as expensive as we expected, but still an excellent choice!  They were very relaxing and we enjoyed every minute of them.  The food was a little disappointing and we felt it could be a bit better, but again the staff was great.  We spent two of our evenings in the formal dining room and both times they sang "happy anniversary" to us and brought us cake with a candle.  My wife had her hair done for the formal dinner night (that was actually our anniversary night) and the girl that did her hair was great!  She looked awesome when she got done with her and the cost to do her hair wasn't anymore than she has spent on getting her hair done at home for formal events.  We saw both comedians preform and they were great too!I would say if you are looking for a cruise to enjoy entertainment, relaxation (at a price) and feel welcomed, this is a great cruise for you.  If you are looking for a cruise with amazing food...look elsewhere.

Service and Staff

Everyone we met on board was super friendly and happy. Loved EVERYONE in the spa!!

Cabin / Stateroom

It was small and we had a little plumbing problem at first (shower wasn't draining), but the staff was prompt and got it taken care of immediately. They should also tell you how their hot water works. You have to push a button and turn a lever to get hotter water. We know it has to do with the burn factor, but it took us a bit of time to figure out why the water didn't get any warmer.

Ship tip

Read the information they give you when you first get on board. It tells you where to go to possibly win things like spa treatments, free jewelry, artwork, etc. We actually won a painting from the art auction! Also make appointments early as they run out of them.

Ports of call

Jacksonville, Florida

5 out of 5
We live here and it was great for us to be dropped off at the port and picked up again. Made our travel very easy.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

We have come to this island quite a bit and love it. It's quiet, friendly and the people are awesome! We love heading down to Port Lucya or Banana Bay for the beach. Port Lucya has the straw market and shops as well as good restaurants with yummy conch fritters! You can also do the excursions for dolphin dives through Unexso and those are fun too.

Nassau, Bahamas

This was our least favorite part of the trip, but still decent. We just felt like it was just very commercial and you couldn't walk two feet without someone soliciting us. We just wanted to walk down to the beach and we had several people try to steer us in the direction of "their" area so they could rent us chairs and sell us drinks. I know people have to make a living, but that was a bit extreme!
