Very Tired Ship, Poor Activities, Indifferent Crew

Review SummaryThis cruise was a disappointment. After cruising before with Norwegian, at about the same cost, this felt like the minor leagues of cruise ships. First, the ship really shows its age - it looks 20 years old, which is to be expected to some degree, but it looks as if it hasn't been updated at all.
Entertainment/Staff: The "shows" were so, so poor. On Norwegian, we saw a Broadway caliber show every night. On this ship, there were two third rate stand up comedians, and that was it. The staff looked like a rag-tag bunch of misfits. No uniformity, no organizaiton, really nothing on the ship worth doing.
Food: Dinner was the only bright spot on this cruise. The food was good, and the staff was better - very accommodating and willing to let you try whatever you wanted, not just one entree. Breakfast and lunch were a different story - poor quality buffet food that was not even re-stocked enough. Forget about an omlette station - you were lucky to scrape up some scrambled eggs. And, perhaps the most appalling thing of the entire cruise was when I went for dessert at lunch, and saw the blueberry muffins from breakfast with icing placed on top. Ridiculous!
If you've never cruised before, and have no point of reference, this cruise might be fine for you, but make sure you get it at a very good price. However, set the bar low if you've been on any of the other cruise lines.
