invalid-31909 Sail Date: January 16, 2012 Ship: Carnival Fascination Cabin Type: Oceanview Traveled As: Family (older children) Reviewed: 5 years ago
It was smaller than the other ships that we have been on. The captain kept the ships speed at 17 kts almost the entire time which caused alot of rocking and it felt more like we were speeding instead of cruising.
Food and Dining

The food was great and the dining room was beautiful however we choose the late seating as we had always done in the past on our other cruises but we noticed on this ship that if you took the late seating you missed all the dance classes and other activities that were not repeated at a later time.

Theater shows all had partial nudity with no warning. The only description was "family show" however the dancers all showed their bare butts and did open legged hand stands to the audience leaving nothing to the imagination.
Service and Staff

The waiters, the stateroom staff, and the photographers were all very nice. However we noticed that the bar staff was not very friendly if you were not buying liquor and no one on the ship seemed to know where anything was. We asked one of the bartenders were the trivia game was being held and not only did she not know what I was talking about but she had no idea where the location was where it was being held. The funny thing was that it was being held in the lobby area of her bar!

The ship was very clean
Cabin / Stateroom

We had the ocean view room and it was wonderful. It was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable.
Pros: The size of our room, wait staff and photographers
Cons: The shows, the midnight buffets and the rocking of the boat
