Review Summary

Fascination was good, staff was a C+, as some were a bit laid back. Cabin steward was on top of it. Not very creative on activities. Seemed the passengers had to generate the FUN. Bean bag toss, scavenger hunt, karaoke and trivia. Food choices were average, and quality of selections were generally good.

Ship Experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Choices were below expectations.

3 out of 5
Only three "shows" during the five nights voyage. They were good productions. Expected Hollywood-production-style shows each night. Activities lacked creativity, and played over and over. For sea days, there could have been more choices beyond trivia of some sort with a bean bag toss, putting contest or art auction thrown in.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
A few were enthusiastic and friendly, others were indifferent and did not possess much energy. The cruise director did his best to generate enthusiasm. In the dining areas, the staff was quick to clear plates and keep things clean.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Nice interior room, and the cabin steward was very nice. Made a new towel animal to greet me each evening.

Pros: Ports

Cons: Entertainment was lacking; had to be generated by the passengers by and large

Recommends Carnival Fascination? No.
