A good cruise for first timers.

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

The ship is on the small side, which is good for first time cruisers. There were plenty of activities to keep passengers busy while at sea. The map of the ship provided was a great help. The public areas are kept clean. The buffet dining room was consitently busy and seats were hard to find. The food on the buffet was unremarkable. In fact, the one night we ate dinner in the buffet was really awful---cold prime rib, cold baked potato. The Sensation dining room meals were better, barely. The food was hot and tasty, but not exceptional (except the chocolate melting cake). The stateroom was comfortable. The bed and pillows were really comfy. The only complaint I have about the stateroom was the temperature. The room was always cold with no way of correcting this. (we had an interior room, which you would think would be warmer)

Pros: Ease of learning the ship.

Cons: Food, crowds/lines

Recommends Carnival Fascination? Yes!

Ship Quality
It was easy to navigate around the ship, with a map in hand!
Food and Dining
As stated above, the food was o.k. but not exceptional. We had requested an early dining time but were given the late dining time. Buffet food was not very good at any meal. I did however like the hamburgers served at lunch time.
Cabin / Stateroom
Everything about the stateroom was fine except the tempurature. The room stayed cold during the entire trip.
Service and Staff
All staff was friendly and willing to help.
Entertainment
The shows were very well done. The comedy shows would have been better if the comedians did not use the "F" word so much.
