The ship was not bad. It was very clean and the staff was constantly working to keep it that way. There was always plenty to do. It's a smaller ship, so bear that in mind. Overall, we enjoyed our time on the boat.

Food and Dining

The formal dining room food was very good for the most part. A few dishes weren't completely hot and the meat was usually on the tough side. The buffets left a lot to be desired. The food was either too tough or stale or had just been out for too long. And lunch didn't last very long, so plan on eating within a two hour period or it will be pizza, sandwiches, or hot dogs all week.

Plenty of things to do at any given time. Games, swimming, comedy shows, dance clubs, karaoke, great live shows. One of the things I love most about a cruise vacation is the variety of choices in entertainment and fun

Children's Programs

We always felt safe. We left our children home this trip and the staff was very good about keeping adults only activities to adults only, which we greatly appreciated.

Service and Staff

Most of the staff was great. I wouldn't exactly say that anyone went "above and beyond". I have been on a similar cruise before, with this same cruise line and my first experience well exceeded this one. It took until the last night for our dinner drink waiter to remember our names and drink order for dinner. The participation in dinner activities was lacking. Our waiter just wasn't very fun. This was disappointing, since my first experience was wonderful! I had higher expectations. They all did their job and it was ok...but JUST ok.

Ship Quality

The ship was consistently clean, which we really liked. Our stateroom was cleaned twice daily. All the main areas were always being attended to. A very attentive and quick staff. It was also very easy to find our way around. Everything is very accessible.

Cabin / Stateroom

The ship is definitely a pretty one. Well kept and or stateroom and bathroom was the perfect size for just the two of us. Anyone else and we would have needed a bigger stateroom.

We had an absolute blast here!! We reccommend a trolley or bus tour to see as much as you can in a limited time. We didn't have a very long time here, but we were able to a lot that way. The Hemingway House was worth the time and money. We really enjoyed that a lot. If you do it, take the guided tour. Same price and fascinating. W learned a lot. The lighthouse across the street is worth the money just for the view from the top. It's a narrow, rickety climb to the top though!
Don't Miss: Hemingway House

We took a shore excursion guided tour of Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island. It was beautiful, but a tad overpriced in my opinion. You're probably better off catching a ferry ortaxi over on your own and exploring the public areas. It's a beautiful spot though!
Don't Miss: Atlantis Resort

Pros: Stateroom, formal dining, lots of activities

Cons: Buffet food, overpriced shore excursions, an ok staff

Recommends Carnival Fascination? Yes!
