A good cruise for a first-timer

We have cruised with another line many times, but this was our first cruise on Carnival. If it was our first, we would have loved it. The food was hit or miss for us, both in the formal dining room and the buffet and 24-hr food services; the buffet and salad bar were not maintained well and often items were empty for quite a while, and the 24-hr pizza and deli we had to wait for someone to show up to serve us more than once. Our room was bigger than we have seen before on other lines, which was nice. Our room steward did a great job, as did most of the staff we encountered. The excursion to Atlantis on Nassau was great but be willing to walk a lot to enjoy it, it is huge.

Pros: Large room, excursion to Atlantis on Nassau

Cons: Food

Jeep Tour with Phil our tour guide was awesome! Got to see a lot of the island we would not have seen otherwise.
Don't Miss: Atlantis Beach Day was awesome - be willing to walk to really get to see the resort to its fullest.
