Nothing in particular stood out. Carnival did nothing exceptionally well most of there efforts were below expectations when compared to other lines we have been on (Holland Amercan & Royal Caribbean) General demeanor for the crew was tolerance, not what can I do to make this memorable for you.

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Average is being kind. Food was below the bar when compared to any other line (Costa, HA or RC) Menu choices were ordinary - no steak offered (other than Flat Iron (very tough and gristley)

Entertainment

Ships shows were not very good -- we saw one and then only part s of others- The best shows wee the kareoke contests and those were passengers.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
Only saving part of the ship - the grandchildren really enjoyed themselves. the facilities and progerams were good and other than a couple veery violent and unappropriate video game were fine.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
No one went above and beyond- the staff being tipped (Room Steward, Dining room attendants were good but the remainder of the crew was non-plussed by our presence on their ship.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

Much small than expected. Ocean view was very cramped and the fittings were adequate.

Paridise Island - Atlantis - was awaste of time. The "public" areas of the hotel have been closed (the small section of the aquarium) that you used to be able to visit) is now closed and only the Casino is open to take you money. Why bother?? We did hire a cab on our own and were taken on a delightful tour of the island - but this had nothing to do with the Cruise line - all the Shore excursions were available on shore for half the price as the ones on the ship.

Pros: Serenity area

Cons: Embarkation

Recommends Carnival Fascination? No.
