A great time!

Sail Date: March 28, 2011

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Oceanview

The ship has been updated in the recent years, so it was really nice. The food could've been better, especially the desserts. It almost seemed like the type of desserts you would get at a cheap Oriental buffet.
The staff was wonderful, and the shows were fabulous.
The ports were okay, but poorly timed. We were in Nassau midday to 10pm. Unfortunately, everything closes before 6pm, so the extra time was useless. We were in Key West 8am to 2:30. Nothing was open until after 10, and 4.5 hours was not nearly enough time to experience Key West at all.
Overall, we had a great time, and as I stated, the staff was wonderful, I just think they need to re-think their stops.

Pros: The staff is so efficient, and the water park on the ship was a hit with the kids.

Cons: The food could've been better, and we didn't dock in Key West near long enough.

At this port, we went on the Catamaran Snorkel Adventure. The boat ride and the staff was awesome, but the place they took us to snorkel was awful. It wasn't a quiet place to view fish peacefully. It was kind of out in the open, and it was too choppy to see much of anything while we were fighting with the waves. Again, the staff on the boat was super, but the snorkelling wasn't. Also, by the time we got back to the town, everything was closed!...and it was only 6pm. The boat was docked until 10, which was useless. Very disappointing.
Don't Miss: Just realize that everything closes after 5 in Nassau, so if you want to go into town, do it early!
Key West, Florida
Key West was great, but we didn't have nearly enough time there. We arrived so early that nothing was open for over an hour, then we had to get back on the ship at 2:30pm, so it felt like we rushed through the island and didn't really get to see anything in depth. It was poorly timed.
Don't Miss: Definitely do the on-off trolley, especially if you're only there for a few hours. Otherwise you'll spend all your time walking.
