Aptly called the Fun Ships

Sail Date: February 28, 2011

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Room Type: Oceanview

Older ship, lacks some amenities like deck space and adult-only pool.

Pros: staff without a doubt

Cons: lack of deck space

Recommends Carnival Fascination? Yes!

Ship Quality
Missed having deck chairs all over the ship because of lack of deck space. Also, balcony rooms severely limited. Cleanliness 10+. Decor of rooms is good. Size of rooms is great.
Typical ship entertainment.
Food and Dining
Food was excellent, but overshadowed by the excellence of the waitstaff. Learned names and preferences really quickly (we got coffee automaticlally every night after ordering it the first night). They were really exceptional.
Cabin / Stateroom
Size was a pleasant surprise. We were aft, but it was very convenient for dining. And the ship is small, so even fore locations were steps away. Cleanliness a 10+
Service and Staff
Eye contact with virtually everyone we ran into. Surprisingly, the housekeeping staff knew our names! The waitstaff was extraordinary.
Nassau, Bahamas
Our first time in the Caribbean, I was mesmerized by the sea. Nassau itself, not so much.
Don't Miss: Sea
Key West, Florida
Self-consciously quirky, tailored to the tourist trade.
Don't Miss: Nothing.
