We were pleased with overall cruise experience. We took our mother for her Birthday and Mother's Day. We especially appreciated the cruise staff. They were professional, helpful, and surprisingly, especially attractive. We loved meeting staff from all around the world.

Pros: Excellent service from the cruise employees

Cons: Kinda expensive on board, especially w/ $40 per person automatic gratuitiy added to bill, plus excursions overpriced. much cheaper if booked at the site vs. through guest services on board.

Recommends Carnival Fascination? Yes!

Food and Dining
We loved our lead waiter and his helper. The finest professionals I have encountered in most of my fine dining experience.
Service and Staff
Ship Quality
Appeared to be an older ship in the Carnival fleet
Cabin / Stateroom
Kinda dirty upon arrival. We saw remnants from previous guests. Not pleased with housekeeping staff at first. Our daily housekeeper was excellent however!
Entertainment
Evening shows were kinda lame. One exception was the 80's music revue. It was very entertaining.
Children's Programs
Our ten year old loved feeling independent while checking herself into- and out of Camp Carnival. Again, everything very expensive on board. She had a Soda Club card where she could get soft drinks when walking around. 15% gratuity applied EACH time she got a soda that would be $1.00 or slightly more at most land-based outlets. Felt ripped off that a $40 gratuity applied to our 10 year old as well.
Nassau, Bahamas
Watch out for aggressive, hawkish vendors at the straw market at port. Pulled at our clothes to get our attention to buy their "original" wares mostly made in China. Only good thing is duty-free designer outlets like COACH, GUCCI, FENDI and others.
