Carnival Strikes Out!
Carnival Fascination Cruise Review to Caribbean - Bahamas
Sail Date: May 11, 2007
Ship: Carnival Fascination
Cabin Type: Oceanview
Traveled As: Couple

Review SummaryVery disappointing. We cruised on the Fascination twice last year because we really liked it. The ship, the food, the service was all great from what we remembered. Our third cruise unfortunately erased many of our good memories from the past cruises. Dinners were terrible, e.g. the lobster served on the first night was gut wrenchingly salty (we ordered another, but it was just as bad); the beef on the second and third nights was tough and tasteless. We were very unpleasantly surprised with how much the food quality had degraded from last year to now.
The capper for us however was when we received our final bill on the last day. The bill included a $66.00 bottle of wine which we did not order. We had to wait more than half an hour in line (along with other unhappy passengers) in order to dispute the charge. The Purser "In Training" that was supposed to help us treated us as if we were trying to get away without paying! After much aggravation (not the way I envisioned ending a vacation) an inquiry form was filled out with the statement that it would be "looked in to".
Needless to say we will never cruise with Carnival again.
Pros: Refurbished Stateroom
Cons: Dining room food quality. Account mistakes.
