Carnival Fascination Cruise Review to Mexico
Ship: Carnival Fascination
Cabin Type: Oceanview
Traveled As: Couple

Review SummaryI have cruised other lines as well as Carnival, and this ship (Fascination) specifically before. The recent multimillion dollar renovations have provided extreme improvements to the staterooms and spa...the other areas of the ship are exactly as I remembered from the cruise I took about 10 years ago.
For a 4-day, 2 port cruise, this ship and itinerary offer a good value and two nice destinations. Carnival does appeal to families, and there were a large number of children on the ship; however they seemed to be kept quite busy with activities and Camp Carnival, which was nice for the rest of the passangers, which seemed to be comprised of singles and couples.
My only real complaint is that the ship seemed overcrowded for it's size. The common areas (pools, hot tubs, cafes) seemed abnormally packed and the disembarkation process at port was a zoo. There was a long line to return onto the ship at one port as well. It didn't seem the staff didn't have the process down, the problem seemed more a result of too many people for the amount of space.
Pros: Recent renovations really modernized staterooms & spa
Cons: Disembarkation at ports was disorganized and time-consuming
