This was my 4th cruise, 2nd on Carnival. Pro's & Con's: + Excellent shows and entertainment. Carnival's shows are the best around. + The ship was very well maintained and clean. + Ship and Port security was excellent. I felt safe on this ship! + Wide variety of passenger age groups from young to old. If you are single or with children, you'll also have a good time. +/- Buffet food was better than expected but lines could be long. +/- Cabin steward was nice and did good work but did not clean the cabin as often as I would have liked. +/- They have activities from morning to midnight for every type of person. Activities can be rushed sometimes though. - Never saw the cruise director. Usually they lead all the major events but not this guy. - Dining room food was mediocre. Breakfast variety was limited. Waiter mixed up orders sometimes. - Very long embarkation lines on first day. - Carnival pushes you to buy a lot of merchandise. Other comments: > Great for 1st time cruisers and people with only a few days for vacation. > Carnival is the McDonalds of cruise lines. They offer a good deal for those on a budget. If you're looking for some refinement or elegance, you might want to look elsewhere.
