A fun time on the funship!

Sail Date: June 13, 2008

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Inside

We were first time cruisers and we chose the Carnival Fascination. It was so fun and exciting. There was so much to do on the ship and alot of great food. The ship itself was large and beautiful. We felt like we were sailing on a five star hotel...until we returned to our stateroom which was cramped and small. We were also unhappy at the lack of information that we were given at embarkation. We spent the better part of the first day just trying to figure out everything. The service that we received from housekeeping and the waitstaff was excellent, however and more than made up for the first day confusion. Overall, I would definitely recommend this ship to others, especially those that are already familiar with ship procedure and how to get around.

Pros: The food.

Cons: The lack of information at embarkation and the stateroom size.

Recommends Carnival Fascination? Yes!

Cabin / Stateroom
Too small. The room was the size of a walk in closet. We literally felt like sardines.

We really enjoyed that all of the shopping was so close to the port and that there was a beautiful public beach just a few minutes walk from our ship. We feel like our excursion, the glassbottom boat tour, was a big waste of time and money however. We didn't see anything interesting and they didn't even take us to all of the places that the brochure promised we would see. If you have the money, I'd definitely make sure to reserve one of the excursions to visit Atlantis instead. There is so much to do there and it is totally worth it.
Don't Miss: Atlantis. You have to go to the Atlantis hotel. They have a private beach and tons of things to do there.
