Not so impressed.

Sail Date: May 09, 2008

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

We felt that we were stuck aboard with nothing to do. The pool is very small and with children on board you can't swim. There is a huge tube slide right in the middle of the pool. There were kids in the "adult only" hottub. The food was average, nothing spectacular.

Pros: Our stateroom was very clean

Cons: Not much to do onboard

Recommends Carnival Fascination? No.

We did see 2 shows with dancing and singing; which were great. They had a "best hairy chest contest" on an all cruising day and I thought I was back in college. Very tacky.
Ship Quality
Very clean but could use some updating.
Food and Dining
Food was good but I've had better fine dining at a hometown restaurant.
Service and Staff
We found that if you purchased a softdrink card and asked a waiter for a softdrink they were rather irritated thinking they wouldn't get much for a tip.We had asked one employee to take our picture and he said "No" and walked off. We really didn't having any other contact with people. Our waiters in the fine dining room were very good and tipped them plenty the last night.
Cabin / Stateroom
Very clean room! The bed was very comfortable. We had a nice room with a window. Reasonable storage for your clothing, etc.
