First time Cruiser and DISAPPOINTED

Sail Date: August 01, 2007

Room Type: Oceanview

Our stateroom was too warm and muggy. It took several phones and many people to come and do the same thing. They brought us a fan. They wouldn't move us. The pool was VERY small. FYI....racially speaking it was 10 Blacks to every one white person...if that matters to you. It was sometimes hard to find food at night. This was our first cruise. It was only 3 days but we had a lot of issues. The staff was NOT helpful. I wouldn't go back to THAT ship but I will cruise again.

Pros: Stateroom was clean

Cons: Staff unresponsive. Language barriers.

Recommends Carnival Fascination? No.

Food and Dining
Food was ok. there wasn't a midnight buffet and food after 9:30 p.m. was difficult to come by.
Cabin / Stateroom
the rooms were cleaned well. But since our air conditioner wasn't working and it was muggy and humid and all they could do was offer a fan (not a changed room)
Ship Quality
I have nothing to compare it to. The main elevators were down the whole time we were there. We had to walk the stairs a lot.
We liked the shows, casino. Slot tournament we enjoyed and the comedy acts.
Service and Staff
They didn't help us with our needs at all. Unbelievable the red tape.
