Carnival Fascination Cruise Review to Caribbean - Bahamas
Review SummaryI don't want to seem too negative because perhaps I am not a cruise person. This was our first cruise and I disliked being trapped for 2 out of our 3 days with throngs of people (many noisy college kids). We didn't get to eat in the dining room because we didn't bring dress clothes (one night was actually formal! You could rent clothes, at a fee, of course). The buffet food was over-cooked, tasteless at best, at times inedible. The pools were small and taken over with little kids. There was nowhere on board to escape the bad piped in music except the library, which was usually busy with an AA meeting. Despite the availability of the AA meeting, I wouldn't recommend this trip for anyone with a drinking problem because they were pushing the expensive drinks morning 'til night. The activities were of the cheap wedding variety (chicken dance and YMCA? I suppose some people like this). The cabin was very comfortable and the stateroom staff was great, always helpful and kept the room impeccable. Nassau was great fun, the water beautiful. We toom a scuba excursion and they were very professional, very nice. There didn't seem to be much night life in Nassau, so we were reluctantly back to the boat. The comedian that night was pretty good, the other night's shows didn't start until midnight, too late for us. Next time, we'll fly directly to our destination.

Cabin / Stateroom
Pros: Staff was very friendly, Nassau was lovely, scuba was awesome.
Cons: Food was simply awful, activites of the boring wedding variety. Shows too late at night. Few ways to find quiet.
