First-time cruiser. Staff aboard the Fascination were awesome! Very friendly, very helpful and kind. Enjoyed the pool area where it was not hard to find a lounge chair and relax.

The food was not as good as I expected. More like an Old Country Buffet experience, even in the main dining room (Imagination). Steaks were dry and overcooked. My dish the first night wasn't hot. Difficult to get a drink because a different waiter had to be called to the table - the head waiter doesn't bring drinks.

Cabins were very nice. The comforter and pillows are outstanding!!

Some advice - do NOT book a room near the front of the boat! We had U18 and were awoken every morning (5-6 AM) to massive engine noise as the boat docked or left port. Closet doors rattled violently, bathroom door swung about, items walked across the desk. And it's not over quickly.

Lastly, maintenance work began on the ship at 7:30 AM - we were awoken to the banging of metal hammer on metal railings. Again, went on for quite a while.

Overall, not too bad. But needed a nap when we got home.
