Our 1st Cruise..Definitely not the last!

Sail Date: October 30, 2006

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

The Fascination was amazing! We were told it was recently remodeledit felt like we were on a brand new ship. Every area was spotless. I was amazed at the spaciousness of our room, and the beautiful view we had of the ocean. We looked forward to receiving our daily itinerary filled with all the fun activities each day. It also included a showcase of all the food & drink options throughout the ship. We loved the food, especially the food served at our evening meal in the dining room. The choices varied from seafood to prime rib and even lobster. The service was outstanding. Our server made each night exceptional by remembering special requests from the previous night, and entertaining us with magic tricks. After dinner we looked forward to the various entertainment from shows, to karaoke, to movies and comedy shows. There was always plenty of fun things to do. We had a blast on our very first cruise and definitely hope it is not our last!

Pros: The service!!!

Cons: Having to sail home.

Recommends Carnival Fascination? Yes!

Ship Quality
The ship was beautiful. Very clean! The ship was so huge, we did find it a little difficult to find our way around.
Food and Dining
Quality and variety of food was amazing.
Cabin / Stateroom
Stateroom was larger than I had pictured and had plenty of closet space. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.
Service and Staff
Every person we came in contact with was super friendly.
Tons of stuff to do for people of all ages and interests!
Key West, Florida
We didn't do a whole lot in Key West. We walked up Duval St. and hit up a few bars...the best was Jimmy Buffet's where we had the best Margaritas.
Cozumel, Mexico
We went to Playa Mia Grand Beach. It was great! We did the all inclusive packaged that included all you could eat and drink! There were tons of water activities including kayaking, pedal boats, water trampolines, and our favorite was the snorkeling. It was our first time snorkeling. We couldnt believe all the beautiful fish we saw.
Don't Miss: "Carlos n Charlies" restaurant/bar-people were having a blast!
