Sorry about your experience, fantasy was my first ship in 2016, I also would not recommend pretty old and not much to do but I still enjoyed it overall. Possibly try a ship in the conquest class they have been my favorite so far not too huge but also not super small.

This is an older ship on a short itinerary from a non-traditional port, primarily aimed at first-time and budget conscious cruisers. It’s a way for the cruise line to get a few more years of use out of an older ship. Try a newer ship on a longer itinerary for a better experience

Must have changed since we sailed on her a few years ago. Seems odd since we have not ever had any issues like this in multiple cruises and ships with carnival. Sorry about your bad experience. 👍🚢
