The ship was old and showed her age, but we made the best of it and had a great vacation. The food was not really to my taste, but it was not bad. We did have one bad experience in the dining room with a rude waiter who was very obviously annoyed that my daughter had not pre-ordered her gluten free meal. That was the one and only night we ate in the dining room. The rest of the trip we ate at the buffet to avoid that situation.

Service and Staff

Our room steward was ver accommodating. We never really saw him, but our room was kept very nice.
Ship Quality

There are only two drink stations on the ship. So if you are not looking for a bar you are hiking to get a drink. The smoke from the casino was not contained. You could smell it on most of that deck and even in the stairwell. I was bothered by it while sitting in the comedy show and the movie which were in the same room.
Cabin / Stateroom

M45 was our cabin. It was fine except for the bathroom had a musty smell to it.
Ship tip
This is a 31 year old ship, and it is showing it’s age.
We planned our own excursion at Maya Chan Beach resort. This was amazing. From setting it up from home, the communication was excellent. And the service was beyond outstanding. They catered to everyone. specifically. We had an anniversary and they decorated the area we were set up in with chairs, a beach bed and table. The people in the area before our had small children and they had sand toys by their area. Drinks and food were included and they were always available and coming around asking if you needed anything. The food was delicious. Our daughter is gluten free and vegetarian. I alerted them to this by their suggestion in one of the emails they sent, and although everything was gluten free they went out of their way to prepare her a separate wonderful meal. Very kind of them.
Planned our own to playa Maya water park. This was a great deal of fun. They had plenty of beach chairs, which I never sat in because we were having so much fun. They have an on the water “jungle gym “ that you need to wear a provided life jacket to get to. We spent a great deal of our time out there. They also have a very fun water slide. There are two so you can “race” each other. There is a very cute kids area that you have to be little to go in so we didn’t. But it was adorable. There is a restaurant and bar there but we didn’t go to them. My husband bought one cocktail for $6.
