Review summary

Again don't go on Fantasy and don't use . They promised me 25 dollars onboard credit and did not give it to me. Carnival is a party ship. Young kids and alcohol. My 20 year old daughter even got a mixed drink while sitting in Mobile port.

Sorry you didn't get your onboard credit, I have never had a problem with carnival or the ship.

Ok I'm not going to get into a back and forth but I am going to respond. First I said it was not carnival that didn't give me the money. It was a TA and i put the name of it in my original post. Second my "special little snowflake" was sitting right next to me and the whole time. I asked her to see if she could het it so I knew what to watch for during the rest of my cruise with regards to " special little snowflake". She used HER sale and sign card no one else's. Third I shower once in a while so it was not me I smelled. I asked for nothing, expect nothing, nor do I want anything from carnival. I gave an honest review to help others and people don't have to be childish trying to call people name. If you don't agree or have a different opinion that's fine no need to be rude or childish!

It's for certain that she didn't purchased it with her sail and sign card because it would have identified her as being under age unless daddy made a mistake entering her age when he set up the on board account.

...and while the original poster was upset about her 20 year old daughter supposedly being served alcohol, I don't see anything about her being upset at HER DAUGHTER for breaking THE LAW and ACCEPTING the drink! Does she think that Carnival FORCED that drink on her daughter?? No, if her special little snowflake was served an adult beverage, it's gotta be because someone else,(who the girl ALLOWED to think she was over 21!) bought her the drink. There is no way She could have purchased the drink herself with her Sign & Sail Card, and I sincerely doubt that a Carnival employee would risk losing his/her job just to give a drink to a minor or to hand out a free drink.

Always. Everytime someone thinks they're owed something, they claim they smell sewage. Maybe they smell themselves.

I agree with the earlier post about underage drinking. Since Carnival isn't in the habit of handing out free drinks, money says someone over 21 bought it for her. If she had purchased the drink, it would have been put on her Sign & Sail Card, and just as soon as the bartender scanned her card it would have flagged the fact she was underage.

My first cruise was on Fantasy in 2014. Best experience ever! We were four hardly-drinking middle aged ladies...and we had a great time. I think people see what they want to see.

I just came off the fantasy 2 weeks ago and the ship was clean and really nice .every time I got a drink they ask for my room card to verify my age and to bill my room. As far as just young people and a party ship. I was a little disappointed because that’s what I was hoping for. But instead it was full of older people and very few people under the age of 30. But we had a great time and we have already booked to go again in July wit family and friends.

I'm guessing someone had to buy your daughter that drink because Carnival is strict about underage drinking & Mobile's age is 21. The ship sticks to the rule of whatever county the port is in so she should've had a different color boarding pass than anyone 21 & older. But it's possible a male at the bar could've dropped the ball & served her anyway trying to get her attention. It sounds like your TA really messed you up. We really had to stay after ours when we went on the Sunshine. I was on the Fantasy in 2014 when I was 40 although I look 20 to 25. They always asked for my boarding pass to make sure I was of age but that doesn't mean they always do. Sorry you had a bad experience. Ours was great but it was before the upgrade to a Fun Ship if you can believe that. LOL. Oh & yes it was a party ship then too, but the way the bars were set up the partying stayed inside the bars & you didn't even know they were around. I think you would've like it back then. Now the bars just kind of blend into the rest of the ship & you have to fight your way through.

I don't sail until January my on board credits are already on my paperwork and account info for my boarding passes. You have to fill out the form ahead of time to get it and you get notifications when the credit is available. I booked through cruises.com my travel agent even texted me stating I would get my obc with in 3 days. This is something you should have checked out prior to boarding. As far as the alcohol if you didn't want your 20 year old drinking you should have spoken up then not complain about it now....Carnival serves a lot of people they aren't mind readers!

Fantasy is my favorite ship. Love it!

terriesanchez    7 years ago

If you had OBC through a travel agent , you likely had to complete a form before cruising to get it. If you didn't complete the form to request your OBC...

I've sailed on carnival often..the ship is clean and I've gotten my inboard credits everytime...the staff are very good at helping and they cleaned often daily..

OceanSky    7 years ago

I've sailed on the Fantasy quite a few times, and while she isn't new (and in fact is the OLDEST Ship in Carnival's fleet!), I have never found her to be "dirty". As for your missing, OBC, was that through Carnival or your travel agent? As pointed out in a prior post, if it was from Carnival, it should have shown up in your paper work. ALWAYS carry that paperwork with you to embarkation that way if there's a screw up you can correct it BEFORE you get on board. And if that credit was via a travel agent, you need to take the matter up with THEM.

Was you OBC a promotion through the ship or a TA? If you booked through Carnival and they offered it to you it would have shown up under your cruise details. If through a TA you would need to contact them. Most OBC are per room, not per person.
