We thought sailing out of Mobile would be easier since it is closer to us.  However, the way this small port is set up was not as easy as it could have been.  We were crowded from the beginning or our arrival.  Traffic is squeezed with little direction.  Exiting passengers and boarding passengers get in each others' way and block traffic.  Cruise, police, etc personnel are not as knowledgeable as they could be in some areas.  Once in the terminal elite passengers were herded into the middle of other boarding passengers instead of having designated areas with their own check-in available.  Pictures boarding taken by Carnival were not taken as you boarded unless you got over to the side and then boarded.  Once on board things were great as usual except for deck signage.  We use the stairs mostly instead of elevators.  There were no deck numbers unless you went to the elevator to look at a map of where you were.  The artwork wasn't even different enough on decks to consider using as a "landmark" of what deck you were on.  Providing the name and/or number of the deck would be a great help.  As always the crew, ship, food, activities and everything onboard was great.  It was just getting there.  We had similar problems with waiting to disembark.  We will continue to cruise on Carnival but probably will not go out of Mobile again.

Cabin / Stateroom
Dean was great. One of our granddaughters is VERY messy and even after getting her to pick things up every day I know it was a challenge for him. We appreciated all his help and hard work.
Embarkation and Disembarkation
Ship Quality
Destinations and Excursions
We did not do these through Carnival. However, there was no airport to port transportation but we found out there would be from port to airport at the end. We thought this would be easier than getting a cab but nobody in or out of the terminal had knowledge about this and the bus driver we finally found to take us had no idea what was going on either. POOR!
Onboard Activities
It was not the perfect time of year for the pool, etc. but we had a good time when we could there and everywhere else.
Children's Programs
The website stated their would be a separate sheet similar to Fun Times in our stateroom with details on kids' activities. There was none. Instead it was posted at the "club" for each age group so we really couldn't plan our day around what was available to all of us without a hassle.
Entertainment
Service and Staff
Food and Dining
Love this part as usual. Food was great though the variety for breakfast was not much. The dining room staff in the evening were great. Thanks Luis, Ali, I Putu and the bar waiter that I can't spell his name. You were fun!
