AngryAngryAngryWe have gone on carnival cruise line once before and it was one of the best trips We have ever had. We couldn't wait to cruise again with carnival. That was 2009.  We booked this cruise with high expectations. The night before we received an email stating that the ship was having engine trouble and couldn't reach top speed and because of that the itinerary was being changed to one of two options. I was upset because we booked the trip looking forward to the ports of call in key west and Cozumel. No we were heading to Freeport and Nassau Bahamas. Not a big deal we were on vacation and it didn't matter where we went. We arrive the day of early and check in with our luggage around 1030 am. We were notified that our ship was on its way and would be able to board around 3pm. Still not an issue we were early so we took the bus to bayside Miami and enjoyed an early lunch and drinks. We head back to the carnival dock at 3 and the ship is no where in site. We ask around and now the ship will not be available until 7pm. They offered us $50 dollars a person rebate and free shuttle back to bayside Miami. So we sat around for an hour or two trying to make the best of it. Vending machines were down or out of product , guests were getting frustrated. Carnival employees were getting snippy. So we took the ride back to bayside. Again some drinks and back to the docking area. The ship is there but has to be cleaned. This is 7ish. We finally board the ship at around 945. At this point we are all cranky and bitter. Hoping the next day would be better we showered relaxed and went to sleep. Not to mention the room was aged and the closets were beat up. We docked in Freeport. Enjoyed the local attractions and headed back for dinner. Which is usually really good entertainment and amazing food . Wrong! Food was a disappointment. And the entertainment was a joke. I just felt like the whole experience was thrown together last minute. I was so disappointed with how everything turned out. The boat again had an issue that night. We didn't leave port for a few hours after we were supposed to. I felt like even the shows that they usually have were half assed. I'll never cruise with carnival cruise lines ever again. Other than the cruise line we had  a great time. But the next cruise will be with a better cruise line. Thanks for nothing carnival. Only a $50 rebate for on board use. Really??!!!
