First Cruise Experience

Sail Date: May 11, 2015

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Inside

The flow of the boarding process was very slow.  The line management had people standing in line longer than others which is not a good way to start a vacation.  The service on board was excellent.  The dining experience was the highlight of the cruise.  The combination of our wait team, which we requested after the first night and the food quality and variety was incredible.  The on board activities were limited.  the hot tubs were popular, but too few.  The mini golf was fun, but needed a bit of shielding from the wind. Bean bag game was fun, but only one set was available to play.  Plenty of room to expand that game to the mini golf area. The serenity deck was relaxing.

I enjoyed my family for five days.  It was fun and relaxing.  A great way to start the summer.

Ship Quality
Showing its age a bit. On deck
Food and Dining
Highlight of the trip.
Service and Staff
Jose was the head waiter for our dining in celebration. Made us feel like we were the center of his attention.
Comic was funny, but even the adult show didn't need every phrase to contain cursing. Music shows were fun. Piano bar seemed to have the same songs every night. I don't want to hear "love Shack" for a very long time.
Onboard Activities
Fun but limited volume.
Destinations and Excursions
The visit to Atlantis could be much better. The very long walk just to get a towel issued was nuts. On a yime limited excursion we spent over and a half of wasted time.
Cabin / Stateroom
Tight but fine. Keep the TV on the channel that shows the bow camera, otherwise waking up in an interior room has no reference of daylight.
Freeport, Grand Bahama Island
Industrial area. Need to travel to sights.
Nassau, Bahamas
Allow time for walking around beyond any planned excursion.

Board early, start the trip relaxed. Choose excursions wisely.
