Review summary

YOMAN, our STATEROOM steward for 'Fantasy' was friendly, kind & took awesome care of my family,,each time we came back to our stateroom is was clean & welcoming.

PIETR, our DINING waiter (& the entire staff) was also friendly, funny & took total care of us.

We loved seeing how he interacted with the 4 older women at our table,,he made them feel special.

I am very particular about what I eat, I easily get stomach problems when food is not fresh, oils old or prepared badly..I had no problems at all ! The food in the 'Jubilee diining room' was so amazing with beautiful presentation,,the staff worked seamlessly, to take plates away & place next dish..

I drink a lot of water,,my glass was never empty.

All THE CREW were great ! Always smiling & happy to help you with ANY need or question...How they can do this over & over with thousands of passengers and still remain top notch at their job is amazing..

My husband & I were able to search out quiet places here & there to sit or recline. Even with thousands of passengers we still found areas to ourselves.

The Comic shows were a lot of fun, top notch comedians. The family & adult shows were very entertaining. The magic show was great as well.

My son spent most of his time in the pool or slide or eating and had a great time!

If I had a suggestion it would be about the music on the pool deck stage. It probably appealed to some young teens but for the rest of us it was TOO much loud smashing tunes. My son said cd's were played over & over again & that was annoying.

Once in awhile a different cd would be played but I would have liked MORE VARIETY in the music. Perhaps more cd's that people could dance to if they wanted,,salsa tunes..Here is a list of artists that my 20 year old son listens to & I like as well,,MAGIC,,ONE REPUBLIC,,IMAGINE DRAGON,,CALVIN HARRIS,,and if you really want to strike a cord with those of us in our late 50's - 60's..play some music from our time as well like Pink Floyd etc...Each generation has music that speaks to them and it would be nice if those were a part of the play list, after all we want to sit out by the pool too.

Our (local non cruise) excursions in the Bahamas were not as enjoyable as I wished. They were too commucial for us.

The folks were very nice & fun,the water beautiful in FreePort,,but snorkeling were they took us was disappointing.(maybe they are saving the coral from visitors?maybe it has died?Don't know)

The beach trip in Nassau to Blue Lagoon,Paradise Island, was too commercial for us,,if you have young children & it is more about that you may like it,,again loud music playing..We prefer quiet, listening to the sounds of water, wind etc. We did venture off to other side of beach & found a quiet cove where we swam -and there was No one else there except for lifeguard.

With that being said 'The Fantasy Cruise Ship' was great ! You can avoid the 'commercial' parts on the ship if you want or go to the casino & shops if that is what you like to do.We did not like those parts of the ship. The Art work for sale was way over priced..

The beds were so comfortable, the cotton sheets cozy..we had a window in our stateroom, I personally could not do a non window inner stateroom..It costs more but if I cruise again I will difinitely get a Balcony. But I would not suggest the Bahama excursions. I feel bad saying this as it is their income but most everything is made in China -we bought nothing.

REMEMBER to Tip the Staff WELL as they do a wonderful job !

The Crew & Food were Great !   Thank You, the GH family.

WONDERFUL, comfortable, cozy,,we slept great. I would get a Balcony if I cuise again,,would add to the places you can sit quietly when you grow tired of all the folks & commercial stuff. REMEMBER to tip your stateroom steward & waiters Nicely as they work hard for you.

Ship tip

The food is so great, be careful because you WILL gain weight,,so take the stairs ! Get to know the ship,,find the places where you can have quiet time for yourself or with your friends or significant others. Take time to go to the open Bow & let the breeze blow through your hair,ha,it's great

Very efficient in getting us on & off ship, but there is a line,,make sure you have ALL your papers in order,,a passport worked easily,,I suggest that you arrive 'early as is allowed' to avoid the long car line & people lines.
