Overall, our experience was favorable. However,we found the area very confusing to get to the parking area and board the ship in Charleston. Likewise, getting off the ship and back to our car was also confusing. Our car was parked close to the terminal, and we could have walked as we carried our own luggage off the ship. But, we were directed to stand in a long line and board a van that drove us about 1/2 block into a building where we had to wait for our luggage and then walk out to our car. Both on and off the ship were confusing and time consumming.
We had the late dinner seating to allow us more time to clean up after our excursions. Dinning staff were excellent!!! But the late dining hour meant that we could not attend the family friendly shows that were presented while we were at dinner. Our younger family members could not attend the late shows because of the xrated content. Suggest having some family friendly shows scheduled for both early and late diners.
We felt safe letting our teen agers come and go on the ship although they were not overly excited about the activties planned for their age groups. You might survey these groups to see what activities they would enjoy.
I would not choose Carnival for an adult only cruise, but it worked fine for our familly to take the grandchildren on their first cruise. I find smaller ships and more adult activites work better for me.

The elevator numbers and letters are confusing. The combining system is confusing and not consistent in all of the elevators.
