An "okay" cruise

Sail Date: February 16, 2014

Reviewed: 2 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

Pros:

-Good food in the sitdown restaurant(s)

-Lots of activities to do on the ship including musicals, comedy shows, games/trivia/bingo, gym/sauna/spa, hot tubs, mini golf, waterslides, casino, art gallery, ping pong tables, etc.

-Friendly and helpful staff

-Two days at Sea gives you a lot of time to both relax and partake in the many activities.

-Nassau and Freeport have a good amount of things to see and do

Cons:

-Ports of Call are rushed, 8 AM to 5 PM is not enough time

-Excursions waste time; we booked an excursion for Nassau and it did not depart the boat until 9:30 AM, and did not arrive to the destination until 10 AM, which meant that they wasted two hours that we could have spent in the city. Why couldn't it have departed right at 8 AM when we docked and allowed us to maximize our time there?

-Buffet food was "meh"

-Drinks are very expensive; take advantage of bringing 1 bottle of wine/person.

-It was not mentioned that there is an additional fee for the "general service" on the ship. We were charged an extra $57/person for this, adding an extra $114 to our bill that we weren't expecting.

Overall it was fun but I probably would not go on this cruise again, I would prefer one with more time at the port(s) of call. When we docked at Freeport there was already a ship there and it was still there when we left, so I think I'd prefer something like that instead, to have more time to spend on shore. There were also 4 ships docked in Nassau and we were also the first ship to leave there.
