Definitely a Fun Cruise

Overall the cruise was very fun. The ship is older and it shows but that did not take away from the long list of activities offered every day, the courtesy of the staff, and the general positive and happy feel of everyone on the ship.

Recommends Carnival Fantasy? Yes!

Ship Quality
The Carnival Fantasy is an older ship so things aren't as fancy as some newer ships. There is a lot of smoking on the ship which can take away from the fun you can have.
Food and Dining
There are a lot of different dining options on board so you will never go hungry. The quality of the food is very good except for a few minor exceptions (scrambled eggs from a box). At dinner the variety was so interesting sometimes we ordered more than one app or entree.
Cabin / Stateroom
We had stateroom M6 which ended up being absolutely great. It's a slightly larger room at the front of the ship. The decor is pretty standard to any ship or hotel you might experience. The comforter was super comfy. Erland was our steward and he did a really great job taking care of us.
Service and Staff
Just about all of the staff were great. We only had some minor issues with the casino staff. They weren't as upbeat - I wonder if this is because of the serious nature of their job or if they deal with a lot of jerks. The only other concern about the staff is how pushy they sometimes are when trying to sell things. We thought that some went overboard with their pushy sales techniques.
During our 5 day cruise we experienced the spa\, the gym\, the steam room\, karaoke\, a feature movie\, dancing\, parties\, bands\, a sing-a-long piano bar\, and many other fun activities. Only complaint is that they close the adults area - Serenity - at 11:00pm and a lot of guests would have enjoyed hanging out there later.
