Disappointing Cruise

Sail Date: July 01, 2012

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Inside

The ship is clean and well maintain.

Pros: The day we return home

Cons: The meals\, and entertainment

Recommends Carnival Fantasy? Yes!

Ship Quality
The public areas are clean\, but the public areas are too small when the ship is full. You have diffculties maneuver from one event to the next events due to large crowds. From noon until 3:30 pm(afternoon) there are never enough chairs to lay out by the pool side. The pool is too small to accomodate a large crowds and there are too many children in the pool.
Food and Dining
We were very disappointed with the main dining room our meals were not tasty\, some of our meals were over cooked\, the bread basket placed on the table were always hard\, the coffee served with your dessert were always cold. The food selection at the buffet station were not appetizing we ate alot of sandwiches and pizza. Deck 10 by the poolside had the best meals said my oldest child\, he tried to eat all his meal there. My family got stomach virus the fist day. My spouse and got a stomach virus the last day of the crusie.
Cabin / Stateroom
Our cabins were clean\, I stay in my cabin alot! The cleaning crew were attentive and friendly. We gave them each a tip on the last day of our cruise.
Service and Staff
In the main dining room\,We felt the server were always rushing us to finish our meal because there were always long lines of people waiting to get in. The female server we had was never attentive or friendly. Always ask male waiter to find our waitress in order to request something.
Entertainment
Same shows from last year cruise\, however\, these performer were worst\, they need to practice more\, to help reduce on the noctiable error they kept making. Need new movie screen\, when we was forced to remain on the ship due to bad weather in Nassau for the entirer time we were dock at the port\, we watched movies however the worn out movie screen made it diffcult to see the movie clearly.
Children's Programs
The staff were nice whenever the child attended the activities. The Crew Director Matt M. did his best to find some type of entertainment because there was bad weather in Nassau the entirer time the ship was docked at the port. Unfornately my family member did not get the chance to see the island of Nassau.
