I don't plan to cruise Carnival again!

Sail Date: April 28, 2012

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

The elevators were very unpredictable and unreliable. The food in the Celebration Dining room was excellent. Buffets, etc. were not so good.
The staff were efficient and most helpful - always upbeat.
There were too many high pressure sales events aboard ship.
Bingo was a rip-off!

Pros: The staff were excellent

Cons: The ship was not in good repair

Recommends Carnival Fantasy? No.

Food and Dining
Food in the Celebration Dining room was excellent. Other areas such as Windows on the Sea served cold, greasy, unappetizing food - except for the pizza which was excellent!
At one Bingo session (a coverall) the prize was a cruise. Two people tied with bingos. After a drawing, the cruise was awarded to one of the winners. The other winner (a little old lady) got NOTHING! What a bummer.
The Art Auction was a sham. There was no real "entertainment" offered.
Cabin / Stateroom
The stateroomwas clean and comfortable.
Service and Staff
Ship staff were very helpful and upbeat.
Ship Quality
The ceiling lighting fixtures in the pool area were rusty and filthy. Looked like they had not been cleaned in months.
The elevators often did not work or took you to the wrong floor.
