It was good, but not great

We went on the cruise to take a relaxing vacation- we got it!! The Carnival Fantasy is a very older cruise ship (and you can tell). The staff was very attentive, caring, and very helpful. We enjoyed to culture and meeting different people from different places while we were cruising. We had the most fun on the excursions and at our destination- The Bahamas! The activiites on the ship were not appealing at all. We only enjoyed the comedy shows. The other activities consisted of muscials, BINGO (they love bingo!!), and teen bop clubs.

Pros: The staff was wonderful!!! and the food was excellent.

Cons: The entertainment was lame, cheesy, and not made for adults between ages of 25-35. The activities were only appropriate for the drunken crowd.

Recommends Carnival Fantasy? Yes!

Entertainment
The only activity that appealed to us were the comedy shows; everything else was cheesy, boring, or appealed to the drunken crowd (i.e. stacking cups contest, harriest chest contest, blowing cards off the table contest...)
Ship Quality
The decor was older. The Fantasy is an older model (one of the first ones to be on the line). It was a very large ship.
Cabin / Stateroom
Food and Dining
Good variety. The best Chocolate molting cake ever!!! And it was great because we can ask for seconds...thirds... fourths lol
Service and Staff
We LOVED our room steward "Abe". He was very helpful and nice. Our favorite waitress in the dining room was "Ben" (cant remeber her full name, but her nickname is "Ben"). She remebered everyone's name and got to know all of her guests personably.
