Food and dining service were great

Sail Date: March 23, 2012

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

We lost power for about three hours Sunday afternoon from 2:30 to 5:30. My sister-in -law was in the shower when it happened and had a bad time of it. They ran out of bananas in the dinning room on Tuesday morning. The ship swayed and rocked the whole time, worst than other cruises I have been on in the past.(Norwegian) The grits were only luke warm at breakfast(not hot) There was only one dispenser of decaf coffee in the buffet. There was too much noise (kids running up and down the halls outside of our stateroom every night.

Pros: the food was very good and the wait staff were very professional

Cons: the Bingo got boring, the shore excursions were over priced, the cruise was over booked, the dining room tables were set too close to each other, the deck chairs staye full, the ice machins on the deck stayed empty

Recommends Carnival Fantasy? No.

Ship Quality
Fantasy was old and a small ship very crowded.Had 2,600 people on board, should not have had more than 2,000.
Service and Staff
Food and Dining
Cabin / Stateroom
Entertainment
The cruise director was obnoxious and talked too fast.
