Very Relaxing

Sail Date: February 25, 2012

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

The Fantasy is the oldest ship in the fleet. If you require a balcony stateroom, look elsewhere - there are none. Although the ship shows its age in many ways - inconsistent water temps in the shower, constant engine vibrations almost anywhere aboard, etc., it is a very cozy environment with a 97% friendly crew and pretty much all the bells and whistles you expect on any Carnival ship. I would book this ship again without hesitation.

Pros: Freedom to do whatever we wanted (within legal limits, of course).

Cons: The herding during embarkation, debarkation, required meetings

Recommends Carnival Fantasy? Yes!

Entertainment
With one exception, the musical acts were not up to par. Neither the Atrium piano nor the Cleopatra piano players knew their stuff - made up words, many missed notes. That said, Music Degree (a 4-piece group of Filipino guys) was among the best cover bands I have ever heard!
