5 Night Bahamas (Charleston Roundtrip)
Sail Date: December 14, 2011
Ship: Carnival Fantasy
Cabin Type: Inside
Traveled As: Couple
Reviewed: 5 years ago
Considering its age, the ship was in great condition. Activities are a little slim the last half of the trip if you're not into gambling by day, clubbing by night. Need faster lunch service in pool area buffets. Dinner was outstanding every night. Overall relatively minor complaints considering.

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Dinner was great. Lunch not bad. Breakfast n/a (only had room service, which was cold food only). Waiting lines for outdoor food (Mongolian and Burgers) were nearly always incredibly long, particularly for burgers. They just served them too slow I think. Non alcoholic drinks are VERY limited on the ship. There is no free juice available anywhere except through room service or early breakfast meals. Water is drinkable but might taste funny to the very sensitive. The few times when they give away free alcohol it is very watered down. The ones you pay for have lots of alcohol, though.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Lots to do the first two days, then it dwindled off to contests, gambling, and money-making ventures like art auctions, bingo, and sales seminars, with the occasional stage show or tea time.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Friendly. Nothing "above and beyond," though.
