Review summary

I enjoyed everything about the cruise. All of the food I had was great. If i received something I didn't like at dinner, our water, Nestor would replace it immediately. My son thoroughly enjoyed Camp Carnival. The only thing we would like to see improved is a fresher room. There was no vent in the bathroom area and that would have helped, sometimes you could smell the toilet even after it was cleaned. Then, I would have preferred ironing services in the room or in a nicer area.

This is a minor comment, but I attended one of the Game Shows and although it was fun, the questions asked of the contestants were not very well rounded. The questions were clearly geared toward caucasian contestants only. I know its all in fun, but there should be an effort to make sure everyone can participate fully. I recall there only being one question about an african-american, the answer was "Martin Luther King" and no one on the stage (all caucasians) got it correct. I was a bit stunned. But, the rest of the questions were mostly pop culture and only geared towards caucasians-based tv shows or music, although there were 2 african-american contestants on stage at that point. The game shows and all events should be geared towards caucasians, african-american, hispanics and all other races. Just mix it up a bit so we can all participate.

Again, our tour guide was great. It was very windy this day, but we still enjoyed the beach. I wish we could have seen more homes - such as Sydney Poitier's home, who spent some of his childhood on that island before moving to the US.

I loved going to a new city for me. But, I would prefer a nicer port. The tour was great. Our tour guide was excellent. I could skip the marketplace. I felt that we were obliged to buy items there, even though there may have been other places to shop. It felt as if Carnival was getting some type of kickback by going to this marketplace

Pros: Activities, Camp Carnival, food

Cons: stateroom
