7 Night Eastern Caribbean (Charleston Roundtrip)
Sail Date: August 14, 2010
Ship: Carnival Fantasy
Cabin Type: Oceanview
Traveled As: Couple
Reviewed: 6 years ago
The Fantasy was right at 20 years old, however, one could tell that it had been taken well care of. Great crew and staff from floor sweeper to ship's Captain. Good nightly entertainment and water works during the day.

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was outstanding. I signed up for a 6PM Dinner.....should have taken the "Dine Anytime". Wait was too long in the assigned dining room so we had dinner up until 9:30PM, buffet style on the Lido deck.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Good variety of entertainment each night. Comdy, dance, shows.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Friendly, very helpful when asked a multitude of "tacky tourist" questions.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Clean, well organized, easy access to other decks due to location of elevators

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Room was spotless each time we returned. Hard working stateroom staff.

The excursion trip to the Atlantis was a waste of time and money...the place is way over rated
Don't Miss: Senor Frog
5 out of 5
Picture postcard perfect beach........WOW!!!!!
Don't Miss: The Beach
5 out of 5
Enjoyed the quick island tour by bus and the Conch tour 4. Tour guide told of an old U.S. base that was there for 29 years primarily due to the Cuban Missle Crisis in 1962. The replica of John Glenn's capsule that splashed down off of Grand Turk was interesting.
Don't Miss: The beaches and observing wild horses and donkeys on the beach and grazing in yards

Pros: Food

Cons: too much BINGO
