The Fantasy is now the oldest ship, but she shows her age well. . I love the lounge chairs on the Promenade for reading or sleeping or just resting. Triivia games are held there too. Our stateroom was plenty big for the three of us and we were fortunate to have a lovely window view each night in the dining room. Unfortunately, our stateroom smelled of heavy smoke and although the room steward tried his best to clean it, the residue of smoke just doesn't come out. Perhaps smoking and nonsmoking cabins are needed.

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We love the My Time Dining. And the ladies in charge of the seating were charming: both Corina and Biljana. We were greeted each evening with a big smile. Food was tasty although sometimes a bit overdone, but the servers were happy to take back anything not to our satisfaction.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The production shows were fantastic, especially the Beatles show. And this time we could find seats. Last cruise, there were not enough seats for everyone.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was willing to go above and beyond duty. Everyone smiled and spoke when passing in the hallways.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
As a non smoker, it is unpleasant to walk down the Promanade by the casino and have to inhale all that smoke. Also people seemed to think it was OK to smoke on the promanade at the tables there. Maybe some signs are needed. It seems at least one bar could be nonsmoking. Perhaps the one out on the Promenade.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our stateroom was very smoky smelling when we arrived. The room steward was aware of that and cleaned and cleaned to get it rid of the smokey smell. He was very apologetic about it and continued to try to rid the room of the smoke all through the cruise. He was terrific: Name was Iketut in M-151. He is to be commended. I do however think Carnival needs smoking and non-smoking cabins. Or maybe a ship like the Paradise. Perhaps its time has now come.

Pros: The smiling faces of the crew

Cons: The silly games, e.g. Hairy Man Contest

Recommends Carnival Fantasy? Yes!
