Carnival Fantasy out of New Orleans

Sail Date: December 29, 2007

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Suite

We (couple from Chicago) were looking forward to starting the New Year on a wonderful different page and we were so dissapointed. We paid a high price for a veranda balcony with no obstructions... Well the lack of food and beverages is only the beginning. The room service breakfast was weak. The refrigerator was broken and had to be replaced. The room we saw on line on Carnival was completely different from what we stayed in. They showed a flat screen tv and a totally different layout. I was scared to have my bare feet on the carpet. I found a used razor in the bathroom. The toilet had lemons obstructing the pipe in the wall New Years eve that a poor plummer had to remove. Overall we, I were so sad and felt robbed. When you save money to spend it on something special, well we feel robbed. I do not reccomend this to anyone. I mean a credit of $25.00 per person when the captian decides the weather is not safe. We get the safety fator but thats a slap in the face when you spend $3,000+... just sad.

Pros: The Staff

Cons: food, lack of restaurant options, room service menu
