This was our first cruise. My wife and I, and our 5 daughters ages 6-14. From the moment we stepped on the boat, the fun began. Our younger girls loved the slide and pool area, they also loved ordering the room service. The oldest made lots of friends and did the club o2 thing. The shows were lots of fun, however, the entertainment staff during the guest talent show, I felt, took away from the guest. Seemed they thought we were more interested in how cute they thought they were. Shore excursions, we found, were better if we just got off at the port and found our own thing to do. Much cheaper. Rented the golf carts in Costa Maya and drove into town. Rented Jeeps in Cozumel and drove ourselves. Snorkeled, hung out on beach, glass bottom boats,,etc, all for a fraction of what it would have cost booking through Carnival. That includes renting the Jeeps and Golf Carts, which gave us the freedom to set our own pace and not be crowded in buses. Wife and I found ourselves with lots of "us time". The kids LOVED Camp Carnival and begged to go back, The Staff in this dept, was awesome and we felt very comfortable with them.

Pros: Dining Room Staff/Camp Carnival

Cons: Disembarking New Orleans

Recommends Carnival Fantasy? Yes!
