The Fantasy cruise is a very pleasant experience. We were pleased with the size of the cabin and impressed with the comfy bed and down duvet. Exploring the ship was fun on the first day, like everyone else, we kept getting lost! We were comandeered for a tour of the spa, which was lovely, but the treatments are highly overpriced. Dining was a treat, but be warned, it's cold in there. We were very struck by how friendly all the staff are. And the way they remember everyone's names is impressive. We both love music, as could be seen by our regular attendance at Gene's fantastic guitar sets at the 2at Century bar, but the incredibly loud reggae music by the pool was too much. Escaping to the adult pool didn't cut it, you could still hear the band. Exploring the ports we visited was fun, but the cruise tours were very pricey. We found you could do pretty well on your own. For example, it cost us $5.00 each, each way, to take a cab into town on Grand Turk. All in all the cruise was a great experience.
A great five days
Sail Date: August 01, 2006
PS. Forgot to say that contrary to one of the reviews I've read, we were relieved to find we could smoke in the bars. Carnival - stop people smoking and you won't sell any cocktails!
Pros: Food, comfortable bed, friendly staff
Cons: Noisy pool, interminably slow immigration
