Hi, my husband and I recently retured from the Bahamas, aboard the Carnival Fantasy Cruise Ship. We had a great time, just as our representative who booked our cruise had assured us we would. We visited the islands of Grand Turks, Half Moon Cay and Nassau. In Grand Turks we went power snorkeling which was pretty neat, powering us along over the reefs to see all kinds of colorful fish and coral and vegetation. I even passed a three foot long baracuda, but he went his way, and I went mine. It was really neat! Half Moon Cay was beautiful, we spent the day lounging away on the beach, with a guy selling refreshments nearbye. The water was cr;ystal clear and a beautiful blue green color-all the while with our ship off in the background and parasailers going bye. There
were permit fish in the water and some guy had been feeding them bananas and they seemed to love them. Later, I was surrounded by about thirty of them, swimming all around me. It wasso neat!
They also served us a lovely buffet meal up off of the beach. The next day in Nassau we decided to
take the Pearl Island Snorkeling and Stingray adventure. We rode by boat to Pearl Island. We got to see where some of the celebrities from the states have houses their on the water and where the Atlantis hotel,( which is tremendous in size) is located. At pearl island we went snorkeling in one area of beach, over reef, and saw all kinds of fish and took pictures with our underwater cameras. And later moved to another section of beach that was penned off--to snorkel out and see the stingrays. They even brought in a debarbed stingray and held it for us all to see and pet. He was a bit slimey. He even told us, ya mon, if you kiss it, it will bring you good luck! I passed on the kiss.
Then you could eat food or have a drink, but we didn't have any money along with us and they didn't take our ships sail and sign card. So if you go, be sure to bring some cash! Our room on the ship was a little smaller than the last cruise we had been on, but last time we had one more person and
we found that it was more than adequate for the two of us. The room steward was very nice and made up our room atleast twice daily. And he always made the towels into cute litlle animals, such as rabbits frogs and dogs and elephants. The shows were great! We were sorry we had to miss
the 12:30 a.m. buffet with all the artistic food, because we had to be up early for our snorkeling trip the next day, but it seemed like they made up for it later in the week when we found the chocolate sushi bar, later in the week. We were celebrating our 26th wedding anniversary, and we had a great time! And we had piece of mind because we had purchased the trip insurance, which our agent had recommended, so we knew that we'd be covered should anything go wrong. Which
thankfully it didn't.

Pros: Almost everything!

Cons: Needed cash in some parts
