We have sailed with three other cruise lines. When I compare this holiday sailing on the Fantasy to the others (RCI, Celebrity and Princess), it is no comparison. Overall, we did have fun with our family, but this cruise is not up to par.The buffet food was of poor quality, poor presentation and there were too many lines. The main dining room had fairly good service(somewhat below the others)and good, but not very good food. The staff are clearly overworked relative to others. The ship is older and not kept up well. The mattresses (foam cushions) are in terrible shape. We got the feeling that smokers were catered to here. Virtually everywhere you went there was a smokey haze. There was minimal lounge space available to us to sit (without a gas mask).Surprisingly, the entertainment was the best we have had. The large shows were well choreographed and the entertainers were of a high caliber.Embarkation and disembarkation was average.Onboard activities were fair. There were virtually none when the ship was in port. Some of the ones at night were poorly planned around the different dinner seatings.
