We Finally made it!!!!!!!

Sail Date: October 09, 2006

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

We enjoyed our time on the Fantasy. It was our first cruise and we were not sure what to expect. Our fellow guests were also very helpful and friendly. Overall we will definitely cruise again.

Pros: Shore excursions, the cruise director, the comics, the time away from work.

Cons: having to travel the whole ship to get a soda or non alcoholic beverage, long lines for getting back on ship at ports of call, not enough seating at buffet.

Cabin / Stateroom
Our room was nice and the bed was comfortable, good pillows, good climate control, very little noise, plenty of closet space. Good shower pressure and plenty of hot water.I did not like the shower curtain billowing in on me.
Food and Dining
evening meal was very good, buffets were fair with several repeating items, the pizza and sandwich area was good, the hamburgers were nothing to brag about.
Ship Quality
The ship was very clean, some wear, nice decor, sometimes difficult to get from one end to the other due to layout. It would have been helpful to have more deck level signs on the stairs( possibly near the muster route signs) instead of just at the elevators. We used the stairs mostly due to crowding and long waits at the elevators.
Service and Staff
Reno was great, Francisco and Akeno were very nice and did a great job, Marashahl(director) was wonderfully funny and very clear with his instructions during his talks and time in the universe lounge.
Entertainment
We enjoyed the dancers, comic ( Percy Crews2), the hairy chest contest and the ice carver as well as the singer on the lido deck during the day.
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)
We snorkeled and the water was choppy but the vis was great. then we layed on the beach, powdery sand, very relaxing.
Grand Turk Island
Oasis divers were great!!! Our first time in the salt and it was awesome! Had 2 excellent dives. turtles, garden eels, grouper, lots of colorful fish and reef to see.
Don't Miss: scuba
Nassau, Bahamas
went diving again, capt Cory and his wife were a great team and we did an amazing wreck dive at the ship yard and a shallow reef at trinity caves. Great vis and got pics of a lion fish and stone fish.
Don't Miss: scuba
