Review summary

Took this cruise expecting it to be mediocre and it lived up to expectations. Originally scheduled it to take our granddaughter for the 1st cruise but she had to cancel so we went anyway. The type of person this cruise caters to does not meet our expectations as far as class. It's "party til you puke".

Food and Dining

Imagination Dining Room

4 out of 5

Beautiful MDR with excellent service but the food was sooo disappointing. Everything that I ordered that usually is hot, like eggs, fish, steak, etc., came out cold and returning it caused a big delay so that you missed the entertainment (which somehow could be a good thing).

Deli

Great sandwiches.

Serenity

Great but gets filled up on sea days.

Jewelry Shop

2 out of 5

Ridiculous prices. Saw a ring originally $7300, quickly dropped to $2500 and then less if I got a Carnival Visa or MC. Can get better prices here at home.

Elation Atrium

3 out of 5

Underwhelming. Also very noisy. Steel drums pounding in our heads for days after disembarking.

Casablanca Casino

3 out of 5

It's time to stop the smokers in the casino. Even though they are in only one arfea, the smoke drifts throughout the casino.

Entertainment

Mikado Main Lounge

2 out of 5

Great acoustics, mediocre entertainment. The host/hostess treated the audience like children, insisting on their screaming and yelling. There was no class at all.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
The waiters were good but overworked. Our room steward, Nurdi, was over the top excellent.

Ship tip

Don't expect anyting but a place to relax, sub-par entertainment more appropriate for teenagers, MDR serving food that wasn't hot when it was supposed to be hot and warm when it was supposed to be cold. They are only interested in SELL, SELL, SELL.
