We booked this cruise last minute because our beach reservations were cancelled due to renovations from hurricane Matthew. We had not used Carnival in some time because or last experience with Carnival we felt they had made too many cut backs. This cruise proved more of the same. Not even a chocolate on the pillow any more, come on!!!! The dining service was way under staffed, they now put carafes on the table to keep from having to bring drink refills;-( Menus were posted for dinner but twice we did not have what had been posted that we already had our taste buds ready for. There was only one night that had an evening show, and it was not geared toward the audience age group. My husband order room service two times for breakfast coffee and never received it. Our room steward did a nice job of keeping our room serviced but that is about the only positive I can give, our wait staff was nice and friendly but it was obvious they were definitely overworked.

My favorite dessert from Carnival in the past was the warm chocolate melting cake. There was nothing melting about it, it was dry and hard;-(, the portions are smaller, my Cesar salad was dripping of water one evening and was not offered any cheese and could not get waiters attention because he was so busy with too many tables to serve.

A paper airplane event in the atrium???? We had been on Carnival in the past during Thanksgiving and week after and enjoyed the Christmas decorations, another disappointment no decorations to get you into the holiday spirit.

The Lido deck was dirty and not well supplied each time we were there. One of the doors going onto the deck from the dining area had the same pizza on it for three days. There was seldom any spoons at the ice cream bar;-(
Cabin / Stateroom

The accessibility for my husbands wheelchair was nice. Our steward was always on top of keeping the room cleaned and stocked with fresh towels. The room is showing it's age, the sink needs to be tighten it has pulled away from wall.
It was difficult to access in a wheelchair. When my husband got to the end of your ramp disembarking the ship there was not enough room to turn, it ran into a curb. The ramp should have been long enough to land on the curb, or shorter to be able to clear the curb.
