Wouldn't do this again.

Sail Date: January 01, 2015

Reviewed: 2 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

the ship itself was in good repair. the experience was lacking. from the moment we boarded it seemed like they were doing everything they could to seperate us from as much of our hard earned money as possible. Dont get drawn in buy the \"all inclusive\" line.

Pros: The dune buggy excursion in Cozumel

Cons: it felt as if everything was designed around getting more $ out of me

Recommends Carnival Elation? No.

Children's Programs
there were very few FREE things to do on board unless you really love Trivia and dont mind the overwhelming smell of smoke.
Service and Staff
only our stateroom steward.
Cabin / Stateroom
The room was just ok. the beds were old and uncomfortable but claen. The water tempature and pressure in the shower would change drastically without notice and become freezing or scalding. the room was claened 2x daily. Our stateroom steward was great. he learned our names before we boarded and tried to make our stay special
Food and Dining
The dining times were right for us. The food in the dining rooms was much better quality than the buffets. The service was mediocre.
Ship Quality
The entire level of the ship with the Casino reeked of cigarette smoke. Many of the events\, activities\, and things to do were on this floor.
